Born and raised in North Carolina and now based in Atlanta, GA, a city central to the civil rights movement and Black achievement.

De’Ja is a multidisciplinary artist whose work is driven by childlike creativity and curiosity. A self-described activist, she has also founded Girl Meets Film, a visual arts company that illuminates stories of justice, social movements, and her family history.

As founder of Thriving Artist Studio, she is creating a welcoming space for spirit-led creativity and spiritual healing. While the physical studio is still in the works, she stays engaged with the community through thoughtful blog posts on the studio site.
